quilts, homewares & life - stitched together with love
Stitched – what I have made ; whether it be a quilt for a gift or for a new pattern, another cushion for the couch, trying out a new ruler or a fab purse to carry on a coffee date you will find them all here
my first quilt
now faded in places & a little worn but still used as it always has been. I think I might have to make a new sampler quilt to push me to make some new blocks & try new techniques
this quilt hangs on my wall & gently waves as the breezes of summer wander through the house.
Smiling Whales is made from pre cut fabrics & is the first time I machine quilted & added what I like to call ‘free hand’ quilting, to add another textural dimension to the quilt.
My pattern is available at my shop
a fun little doco for my son’s film & tv class of the making of the Smiling Whales quilt – song by my talented niece Amy Firth
a quilt for Anna
Anna’s quilt was made for a wonderful friend – a wholecloth quilt with free motion quilting outlining & hopefully enhancing the pattern on the fabric.
a gift for a little friend
Blossom Purses – love some appliqué & hand quilting – adds fabulous texture & a certain touch of style
